The AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, is more than just an awards show judging the best work of the year. It's an ongoing archival project with cultural and artistic significance. Since the Show's inception in 1992, the honored work is included in the archives of the Film Department at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), in New York. The Show is judged by close to 400 advertising and production professionals, and is assembled by a curatorial panel of prominent industry leaders.
The AICP Next Awards recognize outstanding work and the creative forces behind it, but are much more than an awards competition - they are a platform for thought leadership and analysis. Each year, the Next Awards honors the finest work across 11 categories: Integrated Campaign, Web/Viral Film, Mobile, Branded Content, Virtual Reality, Experiential, Experiential - Live Event/Broadcasts, Website, Cause Marketing, Social, and Innovation. The winners are announced at the debut of the Next Awards in New York during AICP Week, where the winners in Integrated Campaign present live case studies. After going on tour to several artistic and cultural centers around the country, the Next Awards winners are made a part of the archive for the Department of Film at The Museum of modern Art in New York. All work for the Next categories must be for a client and may be produced and aired globally.
